An Occasional Walker at amazon.com

My book, An Occasional Walker, is now available through amazon.com.

A work of occasional writings, this book covers holidays, memorable days, and days of occasions we share as members of a small and perhaps shrinking world of Modernity. Part memoir of a traveller, part dwelling on the possible, this work is a look at our time and a hope for our future.

Hope it works. My next book, Andean Walker, is in progress. I have written volume one, "Making the Mariscal" which is in longhand in a series of notebooks, covering my time in Lima,Peru and down south to Arequipa, Puno, and Lake Titicaca; my time in Bolivia, which has turned out to be the best part of a great time on the road; a weird adventure in Paraguay for a short time; and then my return to a few months more in Bolivia. The second volume should be about Peru from the north; Ecuador; and Columbia. That is, if I ever leave Bolivia.

Till then,

Yalla, Dag Walker.

Preview from the semi-electric world

It´s been a long while since I posted new copy here, and that is due primarily to the sketchiness of the Internet connection available in Bolivia. Love this place, but the way things work in this poorest country in South America is that often things don´t work. Will keep trying and will move back to Peru soon so things are better for us all here.

Meanwhile, my book should be available next week. Will make sure that gets posted.
