Greg Felton's Left Moral Panic

Greg Felton is coming to the Vancouver Public Library. He knows what's wrong and what we must do to make it all right. It's panic time. If you're moral.

If the Bushitlers steal another election in America it'll be the End of the World as We Know It. How much worse can it get than it is now with the American government being behind the murders of 9/11? What can be worse that the Neo-Con conspiracy to inter/n the world in concentration camps and put us all under a dictatorship of the Jooos? Can things really be worse than now with Vlams Belang, Geert Wilders, and the British National Party having something akin to legitimate presences in the collective European proletarian mind? Lord, can it be even worse than all this? I scream. I have no idea why, but I scream anyway. I'm in the grip of a Moral Panic!

Look, it's not that people disagree with me that makes me insane. I simply hate those who are monsters, those who have committed the world's greatest atrocities, worse than the Holocaust, worse than the Mongol exterminations of West Asia; in short, I hate Americans and the Jooos. I mean, who couldn't hate them? I can't even begin to exaggerate well enough to show how terrible America is because of the Jooos. Because of the warming globalists the whole world is melting like the Wicked Witch of the West . We're all going to die if we don't stop the evil ones from continuing this rampaging rape of Mother Nature and The Peoples. Fuckin' right, I'm having a moral panic. This is no time to be normal and sane. No way. It's almost Sunday, and that means it's long past time to have a MORAL PANIC. Ahhrrgg! Bushitler! Christian Fundamentalists! The Jooos!

Moral panic is a sociological term, coined by Stanley Cohen [in 1972] meaning a reaction by a group of people based on the false or exaggerated perception that some cultural behavior or group, frequently a minority group or a subculture, is dangerously deviant and poses a menace to society. It has also been more broadly defined as an "episode, condition, person or group of persons" that has in recent times been "defined as a threat to societal values and interests." They are byproducts of controversies that produce arguments and social tension, or aren't easily discussed, as some of these moral panics are taboo to many people. Characterization of the group reaction as a moral panic requires a presumption that the group's perceptions are unfounded or exaggerated.

These reactions are often fueled by media coverage or propaganda around a social issue, although semi-spontaneous moral panics do occur. Mass hysteria can be an element in these movements, but moral panic is different from mass hysteria in that a moral panic is specifically framed in terms of morality and is usually expressed as outrage rather than fear. Moral panics (as defined by Cohen) revolve around a perceived threat to a value or norm held by a society normally stimulated by glorification within the mass media or 'folk legend' within societies. Panics have a number of outcomes, with one being the certification to the players within the panic that what they are doing appears to warrant observation by mass media and therefore may push them further into the activities that led to the original feeling of moral panic.

It's no good disagreeing. Really, if you're serious about the way of things you must be insane to be authentic. And you must have others to support you in your clamour, preferably movie stars and t.v. show hosts. If not, then you can at least claim Leftist affinity with Islam. Insanity? It's almost as good as being Sean Penn. Yuppers, you can be Greg Felton of New West Minster, Canada.

Here's a hint:

Mr. Felton will be appearing at the Vancouver (Canada Public Library), courtesy of the city's taxpayers, on Monday evening to share with us his knowledge of the Zionist conspiracy. If you don't show up, you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem. This is no time to sit back and do nothing. This is time for a moral panic. See you at VPL.

Congratulations to Al Gordon - Greg Felton hates him! Felton, the kind of smelly intrusion that you want to scrape off your shoe, has declared "Apologists for Israel's genocide: YOU'RE ON NOTICE!" and lists Alastair Gordon in some esteemed company indeed. Felton is a favorite on the website of Mohamed Elmasry and other Jew-haters.

If you wish to make a statement or perhaps leave a comment or add something relevant or even intelligent to the discussion, I post it. I don't care at all what people write if it's not some obscene rubbish. But I do get pissed off at those who think they can spam us here with links. Either leave a comment or don't bother at all.

OT:

Looks like Ronbo offed himself. Went out with a whimper instead of a bang. Sad.

My life intervenes at the moment or I'd write more, which I will do later.

I always liked Ron. Maybe that says something about me. I'm sorry to read this news.

As I understand it, Ron had cancer, which might have affected his veiw of living somewhat as well.

Thanks for the up-date on this.

My condolences to those others who knew and liked Ron.

Judging from the snarky, paranoid, frothing tone of your screed, it appear that you and other members of the Israel Lobby are in a moral panic--not I. Small wonder since Jews are abandoning Israel in increaseing numbers.

I never cease to be entertained by the endless numbers of thugs on blogs like this who think that misrepresenting my argumnets qualifies as informed commentary.

I have to conclude that your failure to form intelligent discourse is an admission of intellectual immaturity and that you cannot challenge the substantive arguments in my speech or my writings.

For this admission, I thank you.

Greg, it's kind of sloppy on your part to thank me for something I didn't do. But what the heck. You might lighten up a tad, make your life a little easier to bear. It doesn't last forever, and there might come a day when you wake up and realize that it could have been different if only you'd let go of some of your hatred for the sake of a bit of life instead. But i have a sense of humor so I'll just laugh and carry on.
